GLASS HOUSE MOUNTAINS is also a hinterland town of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. It is located approximately 70km north of Brisbane, in the Caloundra City local government area . Known colloquially as "Glasshouse", it takes its name from the famous mountains and National Park of the area. The township of Beerwah is located in this region, a popular tourist destination, being home to Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo. Mooloolah is only 10 minutes from the famous Australia Zoo.
